Two Ways to Enter

General Submissions
 
ENTRY FORM

 

MTIFF accepts films of all types and genres from around the globe.  Submission catagories include:

Narrative Feature Length
A narrative film greater than 65 minutes in length.

Narrative Short
A narrative film less than 65 minutes in length.

Documentary Feature Length
Documentary film more than 60 minutes in length.

Documentary Short
Documentary film less than 60 minutes in length.

Music Video
A short film in which the visual element plays a supporting and enhancing role to the audio element.

 5-Minute WesternCompetition
 
 ENTRY FORM
 
 Be part of the festival, even if you don't yet have
 a completed film.  Just grab your camera and make
 us a 5-Minute Western.  For this competition:

·          Make a Western Genre Film.

·         Competitors are chosen on a first-come, first-serve basis.

·          Length of Entry, 0:00:30 to 0:05:00              (30 seconds to 5 minutes).

·          All competitors will be shown on 
the big screen at a Guaranteed Screening of the entry!

GENERAL RULES
Terms Of Entry:
1> Entries must be sent on 1/2 VHS tape (NTSC) OR DVD.
2> Films can be tied to a DISTRIBUTION DEAL.
3> Participants agree that their film or clips from it and all other material related to their project may be used and/or published in the event program, MTIFF web site, and for any promotional purposes which MTIFF deems appropriate.
4> No viewing tapes and/or promotional materials will be returned to the filmmaker.
5> If selected, all commercial/private property including all trademark/copyrighted materials shown or recorded on the project is the responsibility of the filmmaker. MTIFF will NOT take responsibility for any infringement of copy written materials.
6> The cost of delivery and pick-up of all materials is the responsibility of the filmmaker.
7> MTIFF holds no responsibility for lost or damaged prints. While the utmost care will be taken with regard to prints, it is solely up to the filmmaker to take full responsibility (i.e. insurance). The Montana Independent Film Foundation, the Montana Independent Film Festival, its officers, directors, volunteers and sponsors are held harmless by filmmaker for all claims financial or otherwise and from any damage to the print in route or otherwise during the course of the Festival's possession of the film; Films submitted may not be subject to any litigation nor threatened by any litigation.
8> By submitting an entry, filmmaker states that he or she is responsible as an agent to promote the film and that the film is an original work.

Shipping
Cost of shipping is the responsibility of the entrant.

Tapes/DVDs must be sent to the festival prepaid. C.O.D.'s will be refused. All tapes/DVDs must be labeled with the title of the entry, running time and the name of the director. The festival cannot accept responsibility for damage or loss of materials in transit.

Return of Submissions TAPES/DVDs
We recommend that you to only send materials you do not wish to have returned. Please do not send us masters, originals, your only copy, etc. Videos/DVDs will not be returned unless return postage and appropriate packaging are included.
