From G.R. Claveria and Alesha Noice, the award winning creators of MOCKFEST, comes a film festival devoted to bringing the artistry of the independent film to Montana.

MISSION & OBJECTIVE
Going where no indie film has gone before.

The Montana Independent Film Festival is an annual event committed to the celebration of alternative vision and cultivation of independent, provocative, and experimental filmmaking. By featuring work that pushes the envelope in form, style, and content, MTIFF is a platform for screening new work and a forum for the exchange of ideas among filmmakers, curators, and audiences.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
This will be the second year for the Montana Independent Film Festival. This new festival tradition will give people the opportunity to discover cutting edge films both from around the world and from our own back yard.

MTIFF is a filmmaker friendly festival offering special events, opportunities, and activities planned for attendees, including Q&A's, hiking, ceremonies, shopping, and enjoying the films of peers. We look forward to seeing you there in 2008!

GENERAL RULES
Terms Of Entry:

1. Films must have been completed after January 1st, 2000.

2. Entries must be sent on 1/2 VHS tape (NTSC) OR DVD.

3. Films can be tied to a DISTRIBUTION DEAL.

4. Participants agree that their film or clips from it and all other material related to their project may be used and/or published in the event program, MTIFF web site and for any promotional purposes which MTIFF deems appropriate.

5. No viewing tapes and/or promotional materials will be returned to the filmmaker.

6. If selected, all commercial/private property including all trademark/copyrighted materials shown or recorded on the project is the responsibility of the filmmaker. MTIFF will NOT take responsibility for any infringement of copy written materials.

7. The cost of delivery and pick-up of all materials is the responsibility of the filmmaker.

8. MTIFF holds no responsibility for lost or damagedprints. While the utmost care will be taken with regard to prints, it is solely up to the filmmaker to take full responsibility (i.e.insurance). The Montana Indepdendent Film Foundation, the Montana Independent Film Festival, its officers, directors, volunteers and sponsors are held harmless by filmmaker for all claims financial or otherwise and from any damage to the print in route or otherwise during the course of the Festival's possession of the film; Films submitted may not be subject to any litigation nor threatened by any litigation.

9. By submitting an entry, filmmaker states that he or she is responsible as an agent to promote the film and that the film is an original work.
